Beyond TV Show Description Proposal Document

This document will be the closing capture statement of the Concept Development Phase. Requires customer approval.

I download TV shows of the internet instead of recording them myself. The benefit is that if the cable goes out I still get the show. But this poses a problem for the software I use to watch my tv, Beyond TV. Beyond TV doesn't recognize this new show and labels it as unknown. Well I would like it to now the series title, episode title, and show description. So, the goal will be to find a website that has this information, pull it down and load it into the Beyond TV app.

Still keep the information up to date in Beyond TV even if you get the TV show from somewhere else.

This is to identify what the underlying message will be and how it will be conveyed to the target market.

• Parse the file and find the information for the show on the internet.
• Update Beyond TV with this information.

Anyone that wants this feature added to Beyond TV.

Any hardware that can run Beyond TV.

There isn't one. This functionality would be considered supporting illegal activity.

Someone that understands the Beyond TV SDK and can parse websites.

The biggest risk is identifying a website that has this information and will not block an app from scrapping this info. Also, it's being developed on my free time.

Update the information for shows that Beyond TV considers unknown.
