AssistRQ Proposal Document

This document will be the closing capture statement of the Concept Development Phase. Requires customer approval.

This was a work related project and the directive was to create an application that takes a field report and parses it and passes the information to another application that would interpret the information and generate an analysis of the battle. The technique to use is called Natural Language Processing and the product will probably be written in java. The resulting data from this app will answer the questions Who, What, When, Where, and How.

Translate the written word into a machine understandable form.

This is to identify what the underlying message will be and how it will be conveyed to the target market.

Most companies that do this claim it is fully automated, but they have only automated ruff tagging that is enhanced by a large group of people that correct or refine the results.

Someone that is knowledgeable in the field of Natural Language processing.

This problem may not have a solution.
