Game Proposal Document
This phase will result in a proposal for a game that will then need to be approved for development.
This document will be the closing capture statement of the Concept Deveopment Phase.
Genres
This game falls into the following genres:
High Concept
Virtual sports league, be in the big leagues. Play against others and win.
Idea
Online sports game. The users can play each individual position. They build up their own players. The ability to form a team of real people and compete against other teams of real people. There will be tournaments and there will be leagues and there will be a super bowl.
Gameplay
This is a sports game starting with football and expanding out into other sports. The main feature is that you, the user, can play any position. The more you train and play the better your character gets. You can join teams of other real people and compete in tournaments.
Features
This is becoming repetitive.
Target Market
The people that play in the Madden Bowl.
Target Hardware Platform
PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and the PC. The idea is that the code base will adapt the graphics to suit the system it's on.
Estimated Schedule and Budget
These are rough estimates based on the technical and art lead's opinions.
Competitive Analysis
Try to give a brief analysis on other games in this genre and how they compare to the one being proposed.
The Team
If this is a game being marketed to outsider customers to fund, list the teams capabilities and any games they have produced. If it is to be marketed internally then state the skills needed to complete this project.
Risk Analysis
Identify any potential risks in developing the game and describe ways of mitigating them.
Summary
Reiterate why this is a great game and why this team of people are the ones to create it. Also state something about how the game will potentially be a great hit through market stats.
