 ====== Star Trek Game ====== ====== Star Trek Game ======

 +===== Insight =====
 +
 +Star Trek is about an exploration of the mind and human interaction.  It's sort of like all these cop shows that are out there.  The cops investigate this murder or other crime and try and understand why someone would do this.  But with Star Trek, instead of focusing on just one criminal act, they have the entire universe and all the wonderess things to try and understand.  For example, they could try and understand a new and odd planet type, new species and their cultural ways, some scientific phenomenon afflicting the crew.  The topics are endless and ever changing.  And the crew spends the episode on how they can help, study, ignore, or stop what's going on.

 +===== Game Progression =====
 +
 +The starting point of this game is for the character to start on their home planet.  There will be three factions to choice from.  The first being good, the second being evil, and the third being somewhere in between.  The character will start in a training area that will familiarize the player with the character, game, and the class type they have chosen.  This training area will be 5 to 10 levels long.  Once the player has completed the training area the player will then be able to preform missions (quests) and join a crew.  Missions will be given to the player through a communication with the chosen factions high command.  These missions will be tailored to the average level of the crew.  The missions will follow a basic story line.  These missions will progress the player to a end level.  Then, once the player has reached the highest level the story and missions branch out into ongoing sagas.  These sagas will be either a continuation of the main story arch or will be completely stand alone stories for the player to explore.  The leveling system at this point will be to upgrade the capabilities of the ship and crew.  The capabitlities that can be availible are, sensor upgrades, weapon upgrades, etc. Also, the players will be able to gain new skills like new battle manuvers for the navigator, new languages for the comms officer, etc.  These upgrades will be availible through the factions bases or from un-affiliated trades that they come across through their adventures.

 The last position is the navagation officer.  This position's job is to navigate the ship.  During battle this person should also attempt to execute manuvers that the captain orders. The last position is the navagation officer.  This position's job is to navigate the ship.  During battle this person should also attempt to execute manuvers that the captain orders.

 +===== Other Ideas =====
 +
 +Babylon 5 cannon, have 5 classes of ships ranging from 1, 2 man 1 pilot/ 1 gunner, 3 man 1 pilot, 2 gunners, 4 man same as 3 but 1 is an engineer, and then you have a 5 man that adds a science officer.
