MP3 Editor Proposal Document
This document will be the closing capture statement of the Concept Development Phase. Requires customer approval.
Idea
I have a lot of mp3s and most of them are jacked up. I need a streamed line way to manage them. I've used Fixed Tunes, even bought it. But, it has serious issues with trying to manage such a large data set. I have the Music Sync project that has already implemented most of the code needed for this effort.
High Concept
Manager mp3s better.
Target Market Segment Strategy
This is to identify what the underlying message will be and how it will be conveyed to the target market.
Features
- Load mp3 data.
- Search for mp3 data on the internet.
- Associate an album cover.
- update the mp3 data.
Target Market
Anybody that wants a better way to manage their mp3s.
Target Hardware Platform
Windows XP is the current target.
Estimated Schedule and Budget
3 weeks at 1 FTE.
Competitive Analysis
Most of the third party software is very simple and doesn't include the ability to update the content from the internet. The other issues I've come across is that it will update from the internet but can't handle the large data set.
The Team
Someone that understands good GUI design and can parse mp3 tag data.
Risk Analysis
The major risk is that I will be working this on my free time.
