Money Manager Proposal Document

This document will be the closing capture statement of the Concept Development Phase. Requires customer approval.

Something like Quicken or MS Money. Why, because they don't focus on the most important things. Also, I'm about to run out on the useful period of MS Money. The other thing is that Money will not read from all the accounts I have.

Automated accounts manager.

For people that have a hard time managing their money.

• Will use the standard interface for communicating with banks.
• Will allow semi-automated bill pay.
• Will highlight entries in the accounts that where not accounted for through the app.

Any one that has bills to pay.

As diverse as possible of hardware.

Well the prototype has been created using excel. The transition over to using a stand alone app shouldn't be to difficult. The only hiccup is interfacing with the banks. This maybe dumbed down to opening a web browser and automating some or all of the site. Also, it's work in my free time so the schedule is unknown.

MS Money, Quicken, etc are all in this space. These apps are more geared towards book keeping. I need an app that will just pay bills based on a bank balance and the importance of the bill.

The skills needed are: Most likely this app will be written in C#, use a database of some kind, and communicate with web services.

I have a working prototype in excel so the desire to create this has dropped in importance.

Wouldn't it be nice to an accountent. Someone that could do all your banking needs for you. Well this app is supposed to accomplish that.
