====== Alarm Clcok Proposal Document ====== This document will be the closing capture statement of the Concept Development Phase. Requires customer approval. ===== Idea ===== There are three features I would like to have for an Alarm Clock. The first is to have the sound gradually get louder to a point that can be heard reasonably far away. In other words, within the room. Then I would like it to be able to update the time without my need to intervene. The last thing I would like is to have it know if I have a day off or not. Other features that would be nice is that it could play mp3s, download rss content, etc. ===== High Concept ===== An alarm clock that works the way you want. ===== Target Market Segment Strategy ===== Aren't you tired of being woken up on days you have off. ===== Features ===== * The audio will start soft and gradually get loud enough to hear. * The time will always be accurate. * Easily keep track of days off. * Play any audio source. ===== Target Market ===== People that are tired of the limitations of the alarm clocks that are on the market. ===== Target Hardware Platform ===== Pocket PC, windows mobile, and potentially the iPhone. ===== Estimated Schedule and Budget ===== 1 week and 1 FTE. ===== Competitive Analysis ===== The others that are on the market only give you one of the features defined above. ===== The Team ===== Someone that understands mobile software development. ===== Risk Analysis ===== Having a stable platform to develop on and that this work is considered low priority. ===== Summary ===== Wouldn't it be nice if the alarm clock understood how and when you like to be woken up. ====== Concept Art ====== {{:wiki:projects:apps:alarmclock:wolfclock.gif|}}
